The Altadena Town Council receives monthly Public Safety Reports from the major public safety agencies covering the Altadena area. We receive these updates from each agency about the preceding month at most meetings. We will be posting these reports in an effort to give our community more information. The following reports have been given from the following agencies:

LA County Fire

Highlights: 387 total responses, 315 patients seen on site, 236 patients transported to local area hospitals
Fires (11 total): 2 vehicle, 4 structure, 2 trash, 1 cooking, 2 other
Damage: Property – $25,000, Contents – $8,000
Other: 5 hazardous conditions, 14 traffic collisions

LA County Sheriff – Altadena Station

Highlights: Overall increase in crime month-to-month (48 in November, 62 in December), Most substantial increase in larceny (19 in November, 22 in December) – mainly from unlocked vehicles and package thefts, increase in Grand Theft Auto (4 in November, 10 in December), increase in residential burglaries (8 in November, 13 in December)

California Highway Patrol

Information is limited due to a technical issue experienced at the station.
Highlights: 26 total traffic collisions, 15 property damage, 11 injury related, 0 fatalities.
Enforcement: unknown citations issued.
