The Altadena Town Council receives monthly Public Safety Reports from the major public safety agencies covering the Altadena area. We receive these updates from each agency about the preceding month at most meetings. We will be posting these reports in an effort to give our community more information. The following reports have been given from the following agencies:

LA County Fire

Highlights: 392 total responses, 321 patients seen on site, 240 patients transported to local area hospitals
Fires (6 total): 1 vehicle, 2 trash, 1 brush, 2 other
Damage: Property – $1,000, Contents – $0
Other: 6 hazardous conditions, 1 hazardous material, 15 traffic collisions (4 involving pedestrians; note: 2 locations not specified)

LA County Sheriff – Altadena Station

Highlights: Overall decrease in crime month-to-month (62 in December, 49 in January), Most substantial decrease in theft from vehicles.

California Highway Patrol

Highlights: 26 total traffic collisions, 18 property damage, 8 injury-related, 2 DUI arrests, 0 fatalities.
Enforcement: 16 traffic citations issued.

One speed radar trailer has returned from maintenance as is ready to be deployed around Altadena.
