The Altadena Town Council receives monthly Public Safety Reports from the major public safety agencies covering the Altadena area. We receive these updates from each agency about the preceding month at most meetings. We will be posting these reports in an effort to give our community more information. The following reports have been given from the following agencies:

LA County Fire

Highlights: 324 total responses, 275 patients seen on site, 195 patients transported to local area hospitals
Fires (5 total): 2 vehicle, 3 trash
Damage: Property – $29,000, Contents – $200
Other: 4 hazardous conditions, 1 hazardous materials, 15 traffic collisions (3 involving pedestrians)

LA County Sheriff – Altadena Station

Highlights: Overall decrease in crime month-to-month (48 in May, 41 in June), Most substantial decrease in residential burglaries (7 in May, 4 in June), other burglaries (4 in May, 1 in June) and grand theft autos (11 in May, 5 in June).

California Highway Patrol

Highlights: 22 traffic collisions, 10 property damage, 6 injury-related (1 involving bike), 2 DUI arrests, 4 hit and runs, 0 fatalities.
Enforcement: 39 traffic citations issued.
