You have until November 21 to file for your economic impact payment, if you don't usually file taxes

Did you get your stimulus payment? If you haven’t seen your money, you can check the status of your payment on the IRS website. Most people over 18 who make less than $99,000 got a stimulus check of at least $1,200. Remember, this money is yours: It’s not taxable. You won’t need to pay it back. It won’t impact your benefits, or immigration status. There’s no late filing penalty if you don’t owe taxes. It’s simple to claim your stimulus payment if you haven’t already received it. Simply file your income taxes or use the Non-Filer Tool at IRS.gov. The deadline to claim your stimulus check without filing taxes is November 21. People who miss this deadline can also file a 2020 tax return next year to receive the payment in 2021. For answers to your stimulus payment questions, call the United Way’s dedicated Economic Impact Payment Helpline at (844) 322-3639 or see the new guide from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
