The Altadena Town Council receives monthly Public Safety Reports from the major public safety agencies covering the Altadena area. We receive these updates from each agency about the preceding month at most meetings. We will be posting these reports in an effort to give our community more information. The following reports have been given from the following agencies:

LA County Fire

Highlights: 352 total responses, 294 patients seen on site, 223 patients transported to local area hospitals
Fires (6 total): 2 structure, 1 trash, 1 brush, 2 other
Damage: Property – $55,100; Contents – $10,000
Other: 2 hazardous conditions (2 downed power lines)

LA County Sheriff – Altadena Station

Highlights: Overall decrease in crime month-to-month (43 in September, 37 in October), Most substantial decrease in larceny (15 in September, 10 in October) and vehicle thefts (10 in September, 6 in October)

California Highway Patrol

Highlights: 41 total traffic collisions, 22 property damage, 9 injury related, 7 hit and run events, 2 DUI related, 2 vehicle vs. pedestrian events, 1 vehicle vs. bicycle event

Enforcement: 22 citations issued
