A message from CA Assemblymember Chris Holden:

Altadena Sheriff Station Not Closing

Altadena, CA – Following a letter sent by Assemblymember Chris Holden to Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva, the two spoke over the phone on May 11th where Villanueva stated that the Altadena Sheriff Station will not be closing. Instead, the station will continue to stay open to the public but undergo some administrative consolidation according to Villanueva.

“While any reduction in staff or resources is troublesome, it is encouraging to hear that Altadena residents will not experience a shutdown of their station that is invaluable to the community,” said Assemblymember Chris Holden. “I look forward to working with Sheriff Villanueva and the County to ensure that the safety and security of the community stays intact.”

Villanueva assured Holden that response time to 9-1-1 calls will not be impacted, and most of the deputies working out of the Altadena Station will remain.
