Today is “National EIP Registration Day!” Have you received your stimulus check?
Tuesday, November 10, is National EIP Registration Day. It’s the IRS’ finish-line push ahead of the November 21 deadline to encourage everyone who doesn’t normally file a tax return to register for an Economic Impact Payment if they’re eligible.
If you don’t normally file a tax return you can still register for an Economic Impact Payment, but you need to act soon. To get this payment this year, you must register online with the IRS using the free, secure Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here tool, by 12 p.m. Pacific, Saturday, November 21, 2020.
If you’re eligible, you can use this tool if your income is below $24,400 and you’re a married couple, or below $12,200 and you’re single and you can’t be claimed as a dependent by someone else.You can speed up your payment by choosing to receive it by direct deposit. Otherwise you will get a check.You can track the payment’s status using the Get My Payment tool, beginning two weeks after you register.
