The Altadena Town Council receives monthly Public Safety Reports from the major public safety agencies covering the Altadena area. We receive these updates from each agency about the preceding month at most meetings. We will be posting these reports in an effort to give our community more information. The following reports have been given from the following agencies:
LA County Fire
Highlights: 312 total responses, 262 patients seen on site, 203 patients transported to local area hospitals
Fires (3 total): 1 vehicle, 1 trash, 1 structure
Damage: Property – $89,000, Contents – $10,000
Other: 6 hazardous conditions, 10 traffic collisions (1 involving pedestrians)

LA County Sheriff – Altadena Station
Highlights: Overall increase in crime month-to-month (35 in February, 43 in March), Most substantial increase in larceny: vehicle burglaries (3 in February, 6 in March) and shoplifting (0 in February, 5 in March).

California Highway Patrol
Highlights: 25 property damage, 8 injury-related, 2 DUI arrests.
Enforcement: 51 traffic citations issued, 1 DUI arrest, no fatalities.
Applications for the Senior Volunteers Program (ages 55 and over) and the Explorer Volunteer Program (ages 15 to 21) are being accepted. Applications may be obtained at 2130 Windsor Avenue in Altadena, experience is not required for volunteer programs.
