Join the Friends of the Altadena Library for a used book sale on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Only Friends of the Library are able to shop from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, but you can become a member on-site for $10. The sale is open to all from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Melodia Mariposa has presented 15 free concerts for our Altadena community in 2024 and we have great plans for more in 2025.  Please come and support our work on Sunday October 6th 3-6pm at a private home in Altadena.
Alternative Folk Trio JEMS will be performing and attendees will be able to enjoy great food and wine from Beckmen Vineyards while meeting Founder Irina Voloshina and enjoying a musical auction and raffle.

The Altadena Library is excited to host a Voting Study Hall, creating a fun and engaging space for community members to learn about the often-overlooked items on your ballot. This event aims to discuss and crowdsource research on important but often overlooked down-ballot topics, such as:
 • The next 500 California judgeships
• That local ballot measure you’ve seen signs for but haven’t had time to research
• That office you didn’t even know was elected
