Extreme fire weather conditions and widespread damaging winds are expected across #LACounty Tuesday, 1/7 and Wednesday, 1/8.
The National Weather Service for Los Angeles/Oxnard Counties has issued an alert regarding the possibility of a widespread windstorm expected Tue afternoon-Weds morning (1/7-1/8) across much of Ventura/LA Co. Wind gusts of 50-80 mph, with isolated gusts of 80-100 mph possible across the mountains/foothills. Areas not typically windy will be impacted. See graphic for areas of greatest concern.

Monitor Weather Alerts
Report downed power lines by calling 911 or Southern California Edison (SCE) at (800) 611-1911. Also, SCE may shut off power to reduce fire risk. If so, power restoration typically takes 8 hours from when the winds subside. You can visit www.sce.com/psps for more information.
Report down trees by calling the LA County Department of Public Works Urgent Request Line at (800) 675-HELP (4357) OR report through The Works app (especially if trees are blocking streets or sidewalks or present a risk to property);
Report a gas leak by calling SoCalGas at (800) 427-2200 or 911 from a safe location. SoCalGas is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
