Altadena Town Council Special Election – Census Tract 4611
The passing of our friend and colleague Madalyn Barber leaves an empty council seat in tract 4611. We are taking applications for a Special Election to fill that seat. Applications and special election rules can be found on our website altadenatowncouncil.org and will be accepted until Tuesday, September 6th at 5pm.
Please be sure to designate that you are applying for the SPECIAL ELECTION and confirm that you are a resident of tract 4611. You can find a map of census tracts on our website, Tract 4611 borders roughly Woodbury north to Mariposa and Fair Oaks over to Lake. Candidate applications may be delivered to the Altadena Community Center, located at 730 E Altadena Dr., Altadena.
Applicants will be asked to present a two minute statement at the Tuesday, September 20th Altadena Town Council meeting. Immediately, following the statements the sitting Councilmembers will take a vote and the new councilmember will be immediately sworn in that evening. They will serve the remaining 15 months of Councilmember Barber’s term.
