Representatives
RUTH NEILAND EDWARDS is Altadena Town Council Representative for Census Tract 4612. She never wanted to be an engineer, and still often remarks with surprise that she currently is one. After realizing that her high school plans to major in Asian studies would probably not result in a fulfilling, exciting life of travel with a decent paying job, she enrolled in an Associate Degree in Engineering Technology at Penn State University. Upon completion she worked for a number of years as a land surveyor in Pennsylvania. She returned to the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1979 and completed a BSc and MSc in Civil and Environmental Engineering. She and her family are passionate about beautiful Altadena. She is currently employed at Caltech’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Term Expires 2012
