How & Where to Vote

Your Voice. Your Neighborhood. Your Vote.

The Altadena Town Council Election is your chance to help shape our community’s leadership and local priorities. Every resident of Altadena, 18 years or older, is eligible to vote — citizenship is not required.

Election Dates & Polling Hours

Residents can vote in person at any of the designated polling locations on:

Saturday, November 1 – 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Tuesday, November 4 – 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Saturday, November 8 – 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Ballot counting will take place on the evening of Saturday, November 8.

What to Bring

To receive a ballot, each voter must show proof of Altadena residency.
Accepted forms include:

  • Driver’s license or state ID

  • Utility bill

  • Rental agreement or lease

  • Any official mail showing your name and Altadena address

(No proof of residency → no ballot will be issued.)

You can also pre register to vote here   And just show up to vote.

Voting for Displaced Residents (Eaton Fire)

If you were displaced by the Eaton Fire, you are still eligible to vote:

  • If you plan to return to your original home during the upcoming council term, vote in your original census tract.

  • If you expect to remain elsewhere in Altadena for more than two years, vote in your current census tract.

Poll workers will have maps and can help confirm your correct ballot.

Voting Process

  1. Show your proof of residency.

  2. Receive your ballot for your census tract.

  3. Vote for one candidate in your tract.

  4. Fold your ballot and place it in the ballot box.

If you mismark a ballot, simply ask for a replacement — the original will be securely destroyed.

Polling Conduct

  • Campaigning is not allowed within 100 feet of any polling site.

  • Candidates may visit polls only to vote or inspect materials briefly.
