Be part of local democracy — help your neighbors vote!

The Altadena Town Council Election Committee is seeking community volunteers to serve as poll workers for the upcoming election. This is a great way to support transparent, community-led representation while meeting your neighbors and ensuring a smooth election day.

Poll Dates & Times

Polls will operate at multiple locations throughout Altadena on Saturday, November 1, 2025; Tuesday, November 4, 2025; and Saturday, November 8, 2025.


Volunteer shifts are typically 3 hours long (e.g., 10 AM – 1 PM), and you’ll only need to arrive 10–15 minutes early for check-in and orientation.
All tables, ballots, and materials will be set up beforehand

What You’ll Do

As a poll worker, you will:

  • Greet and assist voters at your assigned polling location

  • Verify pre-registered voters on the roll sheet

  • Check proof of residency for walk-in voters

  • Distribute the correct ballot by census tract

  • Maintain orderly and friendly conduct at the polls

Training and written instructions will be provided on election day — no prior experience needed!

Who Can Volunteer?

  • Must be 18 or older

  • Live in or have strong ties to the Altadena community

  • Be dependable, friendly, and able to serve your scheduled shift
