Altadena Coalition of Neighborhood Associations (A.C.O.N.A.) Meeting: Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at 7:00 pm

The Altadena Coalition of Neighborhood Associations was established in 2010 to provide a means for Altadena neighborhood associations and Neighborhood Watch groups to network and share ideas and best practices. ACONA meetings are held bimonthly at the Altadena Community Center. All are welcome to attend.

The next ACONA meeting on Tuesday, August 26th, at 7pm will be virtual (Zoom link HERE) and will be dedicated to a legislative update.
Representatives from Senator Perez and Assemblymember Harabedian’s offices will give a general overview of the most currently active legislation they are involved with.  After the general overview the bulk of the meeting will focus on these three pieces of legislation:
  • SB 629 -High Fire Zone Reclassification (Senator Durazo)
  • AB 797 – Community Stabilization Act, looking to stabilize property values in disaster-impacted areas (Assemblymember Harabedian)
  • SB 782 – Creation of Enhanced Infrastructure Financing District (Senator Perez)
